The actor mentioned in an earlier interview with Lehren Retro that she was hesitant to accept the role because it required her to play a mother to four adult men. Malini was just 55 years old at the time.

“Chaar itne bade bade ladkon ke maa ka role karne toh bol raha hai,” the actor inquired. How can I accomplish this? I have been asked to assume the role of a mother to these four mature men. Why should I?)
