Have You Checked Out The Leap Day 2020’s Google Doodle?

Leap Year

Today is February 29, the special day that marks the Leap Year. Google celebrated the special day with an animated Google doodle.

February 29 is the leap day that marks the Leap Year which comes in every 4 years.

Here’s a fun fact, the leap years are those that are completely divisible by 4. That’s how you can find out whether the year is a leap year or not.

This leap year makes us in sync with the earth’s rotation.

Google Doodle page elaborated:

“This is to keep our calendar in sync with the rotation of the Earth around the sun. Without Leap Day, we’d be out of sync by about six hours per year.”

We had a leap year in 2016 and the next leap year will be in 2024.

Artist Olivia Huynh created today’s google doodle that has hopping bunnies in it.

Google on the google doodle said:

“Today’s Doodle is jumping for joy on Leap Day, the 29th day of February that only occurs about every four years, to keep our calendars in alignment with the Earth and sun.”

And Further Added:

“We HOP you have a good one-Happy Leap Day!”
