Hartalika Teej Puja Samagri
One day before Hartalika Vrat, collect Puja Samagri- wet soil, Bel Patra, Shami Patra, banana leaf, Dhatura fruit and flower, Aakanv flower, Tulsi, Manjari, Janeu, clothes, seasonal fruits and flowers, coconut, Kalash, Abir, Chandan, Ghee, Camphor, Kumkum, Deepak, Curd, Sugar, Milk and Honey.
Suhag Samagri for Maa Parvati: Mehendi, Bangles, Bichhiya, Kajal, Bindi, Kumkum, Sindoor, Comb, Mahor, Suhag Pitari.
Hartalika Teej Puja Vidhi
Hartalika Teej Puja is performed in Pradosh Kaal. Pradosh Kaal means the time when day and night meet. On the day of Hartalika Teej, Shiva-Parvati is worshipped as follows. Take bath again in the evening and wear clean and beautiful clothes.
- On this day, married women wear new clothes and do sixteen adornments.
- After this, make idols of Shiva-Parvati and Ganesha from wet clay.
- Make Panchamrit with milk, curd, sugar, honey and ghee. Decorate the Suhaag material well and offer it to Mother Parvati. Offer clothes to Lord Shiva.
- Now listen to the story of Hartalika Vrat. After this, first do the aarti of Ganesha and then Shiva and Mother Parvati.
- Now do Parikrama of the Lord. Do Ratri Jagran. After taking bath in the morning, worship Mother Parvati and offer her vermilion.
- After this, offer cucumber and halwa. After offering bhog, eat cucumber and break the fast. Collect all the worship material and donate it to a married woman.
How to do Hartalika Teej Vrat
Teej is considered to be the biggest Teej. In this, Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati are worshipped with rituals.
- It is forbidden to drink even a drop of water before breaking the fast of Hartalika Teej. Water is not consumed during this fast. T
- his fast is observed without water. On the day of the fast, after taking a bath in the morning, the vow of fasting is taken by chanting the mantra “Umamaheshwarasaayujya Siddhaye Haritalika Vratamham Karishye”.
- If Sutak Kaal starts during the fast, then you can keep the fast and do the Puja at night. On this day, women keep a waterless fast for more than 24 hours. Not only this, women stay awake at night and break the fast only after doing the prescribed Puja the next morning.
- Hartalika Teej fast is observed by unmarried girls as well as married women.
