Hantavirus: Man Dies From The New Virus In China, Know How It Spreads

The coronavirus outbreak has already hit the world and many lives have been lost. Many measures are already being taken to control the pandemic. Recently many cases of Swine flu and bird flu have been reported in India and other countries.

A man in China has tested positive for Hantavirus. The man from Younanng died on a bus while he was on his way back home to Shandong Province. The incident happened on Monday and China’s Global Times shared the piece of news. 32 people who were travelling along with this man were also tested for the virus.

Apparently Hantavirus is the newfound virus in China who has taken the life of one man. As per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), hantaviruses are a family of virus that is spread mainly by rodents and can cause multiple diseases in people.

Hantavirus can cause pulmonary syndrome (HPS) and haemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS).

How It Is Caused?

It is not an airborne disease and can spread only if you come in contact with urine, faeces or saliva of rodents. There are very few chances that you can acquire it with a bite.

What Are The Symptoms?

The common symptoms of hantavirus are fatigue, fever, headache, abdominal problem, chills and dizziness. If the disease is left untreated, the infected person might also feel shortness of breath and coughing.

Low blood pressure and kidney failure are also some of the symptoms of hantavirus.

It is advised to stay safe in your homes as the world fights against such fatal diseases.
