BMW Motorrad has launched the new BMW F 900 GS and BMW F 900 GS Adventure in the Indian market. Both bikes have similar features, but the Adventure variant is more focused on touring, while the BMW F 900 GS is the more off-road edition of the two. These new BMW motorcycles have been placed between the GS 850 and GS 1200 models. Let’s know with which features these two bikes have been launched.
BMW F 900 GS and BMW F 900 GS Adventure: Color Options
- The F 900 GS has been launched in two color options, which are Sao Paulo Yellow and Light White / Racing Blue Metallic.
- At the same time, the BMW F 900 GS Adventure has also been brought in two color options, which are Black Storm Metallic and White Aluminum Matte.
BMW F 900 GS and BMW F 900 GS Adventure: Features
The BMW F 900 GS will have a 6.5-inch TFT touchscreen, which will not only provide all the information related to the bike but will also provide a navigation feature. This latest GS model has been launched with two standard riding modes Rain and Road. Along with this, dynamic traction control and a dynamic brake light have also been installed in the bike.
Design of both BMW bikes F 900 GS and F 900 GS Adventure
- Both bikes feature new tank side panels, radiator trim, and frame designs. Which gives them a more compact look. The sleek plastic fuel tank makes the bikes more ergonomic. Especially for off-road riding.
- The F 900 GS features a higher handlebar (15mm higher than the previous model) and lower footrests (20mm lower than the previous model), making it more comfortable to stand on during off-road rides.
- The Adventure Edition is designed for long-distance touring with a focus on comfort and durability. The F 900 GS now sheds 14 kg of weight.
- Apart from this, the F 900 GS features a new headlamp unit that is equipped with LEDs that offer a wider low-beam throw.
BMW F 900 GS And F 900 GS Adventure: What’s New?
The BMW F 900 GS’ design is based on a rally bike. It features a higher handlebar and lower-set foot pegs. The F 900 GS Adventure, on the other hand, features an updated design. The new body panels are sleeker than before, but it still look quite similar to the F 850 GSA.
The engine of BMW F 900 GS and F 900 GS Adventure bikes
Both these bikes are equipped with a large 895cc liquid-cooled, twin-cylinder engine, which generates 105 PS and 93 Nm of torque. Its engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The top speed of both bikes is more than 200 kmph.
Price of BMW’s powerful bikes
F 900 GS Sao Paulo Yellow and its sporty GS Trophy variant are available in Light White and Racing Blue Metallic colors. F 900 GS Adventure is available in Black Storm and White Aluminium Matte color variants. The ex-showroom price of the new BMW F 900 GS is Rs 13.75 lakh. The ex-showroom price of the F 900 GS Adventure is Rs 14.75 lakh.
