So this started back in Season 8, which was a disappointment in itself on a whole different level, where a Starbucks coffee cup made an unwanted cameo! Soon after infamous episode released, an eagle-eyed fan took to Twitter to spread his snafu like a wildfire.

HBO and Starbucks both responded trying hard to veil it in humour.

Now, months later, when we are finally moving on from the great ‘destruction’, Benioff and Weiss have spoken about the incident:

” We were concentrating so much on Daenerys and Jon Snow that we just didn’t see this coffee cup right in the middle. So at first I couldn’t believe it, and then it was an embarrassment; how did we not see this coffee cup in the middle of the shot? And then, eventually, it was just funny. This one is just a mistake, and it’s kind of funny to us now.”

So yeah, it was nothing but just an honest mistake. Wait, are they going to say the same about Season 8 as well?
