November is bringing lots of holidays for both working professionals and students. Diwali being the major festival will alone bring 2-3 days off. Some regional festivals will also keep banks closed in a few states like Bihar, Chattisgarh, and Jharkhand. Thus, customers must be prepared in advance. Here is a full list of public and bank holidays in November 2021.

1st November- Monday and the first day of the Month will not be any headache for working professionals living in Kerala, Puducherry, Haryana, Karnataka, and Manipur. These states will observe government holidays on the occasion of their establishment day.

4th November– After 3 days, the nationwide holiday is in November as the festival of light starts from the 4th of November. Other festivals are also falling on the same day; these are Naraka Chaturdashi, Lakshmi Puja, and Kali Puja. Banks and public holidays are kept for two days during Diwali.

6th November– Some states like UP, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Sikkim celebrate Bhai Dooj also known as Bhai Beej. The festival is however celebrated in many more states but on the next day of Diwali, these states have official bank holidays.

10th November- One of the important festivals of Bihar- Chhath Puja- will be held on the 10th day of the month which brings two days off to those living in the state. It is also celebrated in Chattisgarh and Jharkhand but only day off is provided in these states.

Bank employees will get two Saturdays off and 4 Sundays off besides these 4 major holidays in November. Both public and private banks will be kept closed for almost 14 days this month other than weekly and second Saturday off.

6 /13/20/27 Nov- Saturday off

7/14/21/28 Nov – Sunday off

19 Nov- Guru Nank Jayanti- Orissa, Telengana

23- Nov- Seng Kut Snem- Meghalaya

24 Nov- Lachit Divas- Asam

Punjab is also observing a major occasion this day. It is the Martyrdom day of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji so banks in Punjab will get off on the 24th. Many states will celebrate Hanukkah (a Jewish festival) starting from 28th November till 6th December that further extending bank holidays in November to several sectors.
