Founder And Owner Of ‘Cafe Coffee Day’ VG Siddhartha Goes Missing

Had your coffee today?  Now I hate this part but let me bring it your concern that owner -founder of CCD Chain, VG Siddhartha has gone missing since yesterday! He was last seen in Mangaluru, an intense search probe has been initiated by police. They are talking to all those people he was seen with, or talked to yesterday, as well as his and his driver’s call records are being frisked.
Needless to mention the fact that he is also the son-in-law of BJP leader SM Krishna. Possibilities of kidnapping are not denied, as a big scale search operation has already been launched with 100 firefighters, 100 policemen, 50 divers and 50 fishermen. As per the reports, Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa has sought centers’ help to locate Siddhartha.

VG Siddhartha, son-in-law of former Karnataka CM SM Krishna and founder-owner of Cafe Coffee Day, goes missing near Netravati river in Mangaluru; search operation under way.

The search operation is overseen by former minister and Mangaluru MLA UT Khader. Police are looking into the CCTV records as well. Siddhartha was last seen yesterday night near the Nethravathi river in Mangluru.

Siddhartha allegedly left Bangluru informing his family that he was going to Sakleshpur in Hasan District. However, his driver narrates that once he left home, he allegedly told him to head towards Mangaluru. Further, According to the driver, once he was on a call when they reached Nethravati Bridge, he told his driver he’s taking walk and would be back in a while. It was over an hour when the driver got worried and called his number multiple times only to find it switched off. After failing in his attempts to contact VG, he informed his family and the police.
“After reaching the Ullal bridge, he got down from the car and asked his driver to drive a little further and stop. He didn’t return after that.”

According to the reports, CCD was facing losses of over 7,000 crores. A letter was found that addressed the Board Of Directors That read-
“I fought for a long time but today I gave up as I could not take any more pressure from one of the private equity partners forcing me to buy back shares, a transaction I had partially completed six months ago borrowing a large sum of money from a friend.”
Mangaluru commissioner confirmed that the canine squad was deployed in search of Siddhartha but hey stopped at the middle of 6 km long bridge.
According to the Forbes report, VG Siddhartha is worth more than 1.15 Billion dollars! No wonder there though!
