In an interview, Pankaj opened up about coming back to the stage after a hiatus. “Before the pandemic, I used to have a lot of confidence before any concert. But the pandemic period was also psychologically difficult. Although I did my riyaaz regularly and tried to maintain it and not get rusty, there was a lack of connection with the stage and the audience. So, when I came back on stage with a concert in Rampur (Uttar Pradesh) after two years, I was nervous. But when I went on stage and saw 6,000 people cheering for me, I had tears in my eyes. It was a very emotional moment because I was deprived of the stage for so long,” said Pankaj Udhas.
