Ed Sheeran won his second ‘Diamond’ certification for ‘Shape of You.’
As per variety, The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), known for issuing the gold and silver plaques, designates over 10 million units in sales and streams for the award.

This makes Ed Sheeran the fourth artist ever to score multiple Diamond-certified songs since the RIAA achieved the category 20 years ago. Sheeran’s song ‘Thinking Out Loud’ made the ranking in 2017.
Diamond is the biggest level of RIAA certification, above multi-platinum, platinum, and gold, which is 5,00,000 units.
The English singer-songwriter took to Instagram to share the news, captioning his post, “My song Shape Of You is now diamond in the US! Thanks to everyone who’s downloaded or streamed it.”.
