Ducati XDiavel V4: Ducati has released a teaser for the unveiling of a new motorcycle on February 13, 2025 at 4 pm CET (which would be around 8:30 pm IST). The teaser video shows a dramatic sky filled with dark clouds with the words, “True power belongs to those who go out and make it happen.” Although the teaser doesn’t explicitly mention which model will be showcased, we believe the new motorcycle will be the latest Ducati XDiavel, but with a V4 Granturismo engine instead of the L-twin engine.
Ducati XDiavel V4: Expected power, torque and key upgrades
Since Ducati XDiavel V4 has moved the Diavel into V4 territory, it can be argued that its cruiser-y sibling, the XDiavel will also make that shift. In the case of the previous generation V-twin XDiavel, Ducati had tuned the motor to make peak torque much lower in the rev band and replaced the Diavel’s chain final drive with a belt drive on the XDiavel. Since the Diavel V4’s engine is rated for 168hp and 126Nm of torque, the XDiavel’s peak output is expected to be around the same.
Ducati XDiavel V4: Unique design, comfort upgrades
There were also some very unique and cool cosmetic touches like billet machined mirrors, well-designed alloy wheels as well as a more comfortable riding position that set the XDiavel apart from the Diavel. Most of the mechanical fundamentals of the Diavel V4 are expected to be carried over to the XDiavel as well.
As a V-twin, the Ducati XDiavel was priced around Rs 1 lakh higher than the Diavel. Given that the Diavel V4 is currently priced at Rs 27.21 lakh (ex-showroom, India), we expect the XDiavel to cost more than that when we buy it.
Ducati XDiavel V4: Specifications and Price
In terms of features, the XDiavel V4 gets a 5-inch TFT screen with multiple riding modes, wheelie control, engine brake control, ABS and a lot of other customizations. All these features are available for Rs 25.91 lakh, which means you need to have a lot of money, but Diavel Entertainment has always been and will always be an interesting option.
