Ducati has launched the Ducati Hypermotard 950 bike in the Indian market with BS-6 fuel standard engine. Ducati has not launched the standard variant of the new bike and has launched only the Hypermotard RVE variant, which is priced at Rs 12.99 lakh. While the ex-showroom price of the top-spec SP variant in India has been fixed at Rs 16.24 lakh. The Hypermotard is available internationally in three variants – 950, 950 RVE and 950 SP.
Powerful engine of Ducati bike
The Ducati Hypermotard 950 SP is powered by a 937 cc, L-twin, Testastretta engine. The engine in this bike generates 114 bhp of power and 96 Nm of peak torque. A 6-speed gearbox has been paired with the motor in this bike. The 950 SP weighs two kilograms less than the 950 RVE.
New gearbox
Talking about the gearbox, it has now been slightly modified to make it easier to neutralize at standstill. Low-friction bearings have been used with the gearbox drum, similar to the changes made to the Ducati Monster and Supersport 950. Ducati has also added load to the gear level spring, which is said to help prevent false neutrals.
Suspension
The top-spec Hypermotard 950 SP now features a new paint scheme inspired by the company’s MotoGP race machines. Apart from this, no other changes have been seen in the SP variant. Which includes fully adjustable Ohlins suspension and Marchesini wheels. Meanwhile, the 950 RVE gets a special graffiti livery inspired by the Hypermotard 950 concept introduced in 2019.
Tyres
The RVE uses a slightly lower-spec Marzocchi fork and Sachs monoshock and its aluminum wheels are fitted with Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tyres. While the SP is fitted with Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP tyres. The RVE also does not have carbon fiber components like the front fender, making it about 200 kg heavier than the SP.
Upgrades in Ducati Hypermotard 950 SP
Many components of this new Hypermotard 950 SP from Ducati have been upgraded. This bike has adjustable Ohlins suspension, with a 48mm USD fork at the front. Also, a 175mm monoshock has been installed at the rear

The ex-showroom price of Ducati’s new bike Hypermotard 950 SP is Rs 19.05 lakh. The automaker has introduced the 950 SP with a new paint scheme. Apart from this, light alloy wheels have been used in this bike.
