Recruitment for the post of permanent teacher in government schools of Delhi may start soon. A total of 9000 posts will be filled through this recruitment. The Directorate of Education is busy preparing for this. This recruitment will be done by the Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB). The recruitment process can start from this academic session.
Overview of Delhi Permanent Teacher Recruitment
There are more than 70 thousand posts in government schools of Delhi, out of which about 66 thousand teachers are working. At the same time, about 12 thousand teachers are temporary. When the previous government was in Delhi, most of the temporary teachers were recruited. Not only this, but temporary teachers were also brought in place of the teachers who left the post. In such a situation, now permanent teachers will be recruited in the government schools of Delhi.
Recruitment Authority – Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB)
According to the Directorate of Education official, these education recruitments will be in the form of PGT and TGT teachers. However, the notice for this has not been issued yet. The notice may possibly be issued in April or May.
Science Stream Expansion in Delhi Government Schools
At the same time, science stream will be promoted in the government schools of Delhi from the academic session 2025-2026.
Science to Be Introduced in 600+ New Schools – The Directorate of Education is working on this. Under this, there is a possibility of implementing science stream in more than 600 schools.
New Science Labs & Facilities for Students – And along with the implementation of science stream, labs will also be built which will increase the interest of students towards the subject. At present, science stream is being taught in about 430 schools.
