A Punjab based teenage boy lost around Rs 16 lakh from his parents’ bank accounts on the popular gaming platform PUBG.  The boy spent this whopping amount of purchasing in app-items, like passes for tournament artillery, as well as virtual ammunition in a period of one month.

According to the parents, the whopping amount was kept aside for the boy’s father’s health expenses.

The teenage boy told his parents that he would use the smartphone for online studying purposes. However, he used it to play PUBg and other online games.  Also While making bank transactions the boy used to delete the number of credit messages so that his parents did not know about this.

The teenager knew that his father’s account is linked to the phone, which he used too much to buy PUBG mobile items.

His father told the publication;  “After we received details from the bank, I found that on several occasions, he shuffled amount from one bank to another to avoid nil balance. He was using his mother’s phone for quite some time and she was not much vigilant to notice this,” the father told the publication.

After this hopeless incident, the boy’s father made his son work at a repair shop. “I just can’t let him sit idle at home and cannot give him a mobile phone even for studying. He is working at a scooter repair shop so that he realizes how hard it is to earn money. I am hopeless now as the money was saved for my son’s future.”

Note: Keep eyes on your children’s activity to avoid such results. PUBG is one of the most popular games online, however, the game has to lead to many suicides in the past.
