Delhi High Court Refuses To Stay Against “Coercive Actions” To Student Protesters In Jamia Issue!

Supreme Court has already refused to intervene in Jamia violence, says:

“Not pre-judging but what can the police do?”

The recent update has come from the capital. Delhi High Court in response to a large number of petitions filed refused to provide any relief to the students.

FYI, a huge number of students were injured during police actions on Sunday in Jamia Milia Islamia campus. Somewhere around six petitions were filed in court seeking compensation and treatment for the injured students, which Delhi High Court refused.

Not to take sides but Delhi High Cort could have learned something from Salman Khan only. At least he says:

“Maarenge Bhi Hum, Aur Dawa Bhi Hum Hi Karaenge!”

*Okay Sorry*

Moving on, not only this, a bench of Justice DN Patel also refused to provide any interim relief to protesting students against any ‘coercive actions’ including arrest. Might be the first time in history, that when the decision was read out, lawyers were solemnly chanting, “Shame Shame”

According to reports, the court was hearing pleas to form a Judicial Commission to investigate the violence at Jamia, regarding which the court has issued a notice to centre, the Delhi government and the police.

At times when the country is burning, outrageous violent outbursts taking place everywhere and the way the government is choosing to deal with them, I just have to say:

If unjust methods are used even for a just cause, they have already lost their purpose!

Something to think about?
