According to the sources, Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma and producer of movies like NH-10, Phillauri and Pari will soon to be awarded the Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence Award for achieving success in movies as a producer. The organization named Dadasaheb Phalke Foundation will give the award.A Mumbai-based organization, which is different from the Government of India organized Dadasaheb Phalke Award, awarded during the National award ceremony which held annually in New-Delhi. The highly distinguished Dadasaheb Phalke Award is India’s highest cinematic honor.
Anushka’s work has been immensely and widely appreciated for her experimentation with new stories, fresh ideas, and thoughts as a producer. Their company Clean slate Films, made with her brother Karnesh Sharma, began their caravan of production with highly successful NH10 and giving big lead breaks in the industry as either actors, directors, musicians, or technicians.
At the age of 25, she had worn the crown of a superstar, she became the youngest ever producer with a responsibility and a devotion to entertaining the Indian cinema.
Pari, the recent release of her production also becomes the first ever female-led film from India that will have a Russian release. An example of sheer talent.
According to a report- the foundation has been awarding the artists for the last couple of years. In 2016, some of the recipients of this prestigious award were Shahrukh Khan, Madhur Bhandarkar, Manoj Bajpayee, and Huma Qureshi.
Manoj Kumar, Shashi Kapoor, Lata Mangeshkar, Gulzar and many others have been the recipients of this award.
On the other hand, the Dadasaheb Phalke Film foundation gives awards in both fields either its TV or Silver Screen. Categories such as actors, playback singers, directors, producers, music directors, debut artists, regional films, and comic actors are included in this.
