The match began with a disappointing start whereby Ronaldo failed to score against the penalty. Ireland team kept him waiting to add few more goals to his record until the end. But Ronaldo scored the historic goals in the last minute of the match.
He equalized the record set by Iran’s Ali Daei with 109 goals in the 89th minute and surpassed him by adding two more international goals. Cristiano Ronaldo’s goals helped the team to take a lead in world Cup 2022.

The team won the match by 2-1. Portugal now sits at the top of the World Cup table with 10 points followed by Serbia. On the other hand, Ireland finishes with the second last position in the table.
