Covid-19 Vaccine: This Country Became The First In The World To Get Approval For Mass Use

The world got the first covid-19 vaccine that is medically approved and ready for use. Read further to know which country is going to be the first in the world to get a vaccine shot and which vaccine has got the approval.

It’s the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine. The UK government has approved the use of vaccines and it will be made available from the next week for the citizens of the UK.

Health Secretary of UK, Matt Hancock has confirmed that the Pfizer vaccine would be available for use in hospitals from the next week. However, the decision on the first beneficiary of the vaccine is yet to be made by Britain’s vaccine committee.

Another vaccine from the UK that is Moderna is also in the queue. Both Pfizer and Moderna found to be 90 percent effective during the trials. However, only Pfizer got approval from the ” Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency.” 

The vaccine will be available only for use within the country. After the UK, India is about to start its vaccination program for AstraZeneca vaccine which is expected to start next year. But, Pfizer won’t be available for the country as it requires a high cold storage setup.
