Covid-19 Scare: Goverment Orders Promotion of Class 1-8 and Class 11 Students Without Exams

Himachal: The State Goverment has ordered to pass and promote all students from class 1-8 and of class 11, due to the coronavirus curfew and lockdown.

This decision was taken by  Education Minister Suresh Bhardwaj and  Education Departments officials in a meeting, under the chairmanship of Jai Ram Thakur on Tuesday.

On the flip side, Students of class 10th and 12th will be passed and promote to the next class only after their board exams results declaration.

As per Education Minister, some of the exams had been carry out before the covid-19 outbreak, only few were left out after the pandemic.

The exams of classes 3, 8 were held, however few subjects exams could not completed, nor the previous exam papers checked, thus the state government decided to promote those students.

UP goverment has also decided the same, in the light of coronavieus outbreak.

“Orders have been issued to promote all students, studying in schools run by the basic education department, of class one to eight to next classes without examination. All schools have been closed till April 2,”  said Additional Chief Secretary, Education Renuka Kumar,
