Coronavirus Scare: Odisha Extends Lockdown Period Till 30 April

The govt was speculating on the decision to extend the 21 day lockdown period. But Odisha has become the first state to extend the lockdown period to 30 April. It lockdown period eas supposed to end on 15 April but looking at the current situation and rising coronavirus cases the lockdown has been pushed forward.

Odisha Chief Minister Patnaik said in a statement:

“During ongoing lockdown period amid COVID-19 crisis, your discipline and sacrifice has provided us the strength to fight COVID-19,”

The Ministry O Health And Family have reported 42 confirmed COVID-19 cases. To stop the number from increasing the CM has taken the step and is the first state to announce the extension of lockdown.
