Coronavirus Lockdown: Free Sanitary Napkins To Be Home Distributed

Lucknow: The district administration of Lucknow has announced to distribute free soaps, napkins, and sanitizers to women at their homes.

Abhishek Prakash, a district magistrate, said that ‘Sakhi’ vans will used to provide the free soaps, napkins, and sanitizers to women.

The district magistrate stated,

“We learnt that during lockdown, women and girls in some areas could not get sanitary napkins. We have prepared a route chart of those areas. The vans will reach there and provide them with free napkins, soaps, and sanitizers.”

He also added that women who need these kinds of stuff could inform us via help number.

During the lockdown, most online shopping platforms do not deliver ‘non-essential items’. Flour, rice, pulses, cooking oil, and salt comes under the list of essentials. But stuff like toothpaste, napkins, and shampoos are not a part of their essential list.
