PM Cares Fund

In an advisory issued by CERT-In Computer Emergency Response Team said:

“tracked several fake UPI IDs which are similar to the UPI ID used by the “Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations (PM-CARES) Fund”.

CERT-In guards the country’s cyberspace and is a nodal agency that protects from any frauds in the name of the govt.

Some of the fake UPI id’s noted are:

pmcare@yesbank, pmcares@pnb,  pmcare@ybl, pmcare@upi, pmcare@sbi pmcares@hdfcbank, and pmcares@icici.

The agency further mentioned the original id and asked people to verify it before making any donation:

“It may be noted that the genuine UPI ID is “pmcares@sbi” and the registered account name is “PM CARES,”

The PM-Cares website reads:

“Keeping in mind the need for having a dedicated national fund with the primary objective of dealing with any kind of emergency or distress situation, like posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, and to provide relief to the affected, a public charitable trust under the name of ‘Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund’ (PM CARES Fund)’ has been set up.”

The vision and mission of PM Modi are very clear for which the relief fund has been launched. Any other govt authority asking you to make payments are fake and the amount will not reach in the PM-Cares Fund.

Many Bollywood celebrities have donated amounts in the PM-Cares Fund.
