Retro Design of BSA Gold 650 and a little history

BSA Gold Star 650

The Gold Star 650 retains the design language of the original BSA Gold Star, which was originally sold between 1938 and 1963. The modern-classic design includes a round headlamp, curved fenders and a tear-drop shaped fuel tank. The bike is covered in chrome, along with a wide single-piece handlebar, a one-piece seat and wire-spoke wheels, all of which further add to the retro charm. The bike features a retro-styled twin-pod meter with digital readout and USB charging.

The modern classic is supported by a cradle frame, with suspension duties handled by telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. Braking performance comes from disc brakes at both ends, with a 320mm front and 255mm rear disc brake setup with dual-channel ABS. It is also built on a double cradle frame. For comfortable riding, it has 41mm telescopic suspension in the front and adjustable twin shock absorbers in the rear.

Engine

The Gold Star 650 has a 652cc 4-valve, DOHC, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, which generates 45bhp of power at 6500rpm and 55Nm of torque at 4000rpm. For transmission, the engine has been tuned with a 5-speed gearbox. The company says that the engine has been refined and it can achieve a top speed of more than 160kmph.
