The world has got a new Sachin Tendulkar and it’s none other than Master Storm Chris Gayle. That’s what Twitterati is calling him after he scored the most runs in the T20 cricket.
It was his first since 2016 and what a splendid performance he gave in a match against Australia.
Chris Gayle Tops The List, Know The Other 4 Batsman With Most Runs In T20
Chris’s half-century also helped West Indies won the five-match series against Australia besides adding his name to the list of cricketers with the most runs in T20 cricket. He is now the world’s first cricketer to score more than 10,000 runs with a record of 22 centuries in the T20.
But his record is far beyond the others in the list as the left-handed batsman scored 14,308 runs. The Universe Boss Chris expressed his happiness on the series win and said,” You all knew I was struggling with the bat and to be able to get some runs was pleasing.”
There are still some who might go “oh it’s only T20 cricket” but 14,000 runs is an unimaginable number of runs in a format where a batsman rarely faces over 40 balls an innings. @henrygayle is indeed to T20 cricket what @sachin_rt is to ODIs #WIvAUS

It was indeed a remarkable performance of Chris as he has scored an international half-century after six years. Here’s the other 4 batsman who made it to the list:
- West Indies player Kieron Pollard is second in the list with 10,836 runs and has hit hundreds only one time.
2. The right-handed batsman from Pakistan, Shoaib Malik is third-best on the list with a total of 10,741 runs.
3. Australian player David Warner also made the list with a total of 10,017 runs and 8 centuries.
4. On the other hand, Captain of the Indian cricket team Virat Kohli is the 5th in the list with 9,922 runs and 5 centuries so far.
