iPhone 17 Series: Discussions have already intensified about Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 series. Shortly after the launch of the iPhone 16 series, leaks started coming about this new series, which are continuing continuously. Now another new leak has surfaced regarding the iPhone 17, in which the rear panel design of the phone has also been revealed.
In the leaked image, there has been a change in the rear panel design of the phone. The company has completely changed the camera module. Let’s know what the leaked design says.
Leaked back panel design of iPhone 17 series
Based on what was reported by my source, this would be the new iPhone 17 design. I can’t be sure if the image is real, but if it were, it would reflect the leaked design. pic.twitter.com/vXhHqunzN7

The tipster on Tuesday shared leaked live photos of the back panel of a phone claimed to be the iPhone 17 in an X post. The tipster has not mentioned the iPhone variant in the post, but it could be the base iPhone 17 model. The image shows a visor-like horizontal pill-shaped module at the top of the panel. It has a single camera cutout in the left corner.
This visor-like design seen in the leaked iPhone 17 image resembles the Google Pixel smartphone. Notably, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus have vertical elliptical rear camera units, while the Pro models have the square island seen on Apple smartphones since the iPhone 11. An earlier leak claimed that the alleged redesign is expected to make room for a ‘front structure light’. This is likely a reference to Face ID.
Possible features of the iPhone 17 series
An older report suggested that Apple may include a 48-megapixel telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom in the alleged iPhone 17 Series. If true, this would be a big upgrade over the 12-megapixel shooter on the iPhone 16 Pro models. Both the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max phones feature a 12-megapixel TrueDepth selfie shooter. On the other hand, the iPhone 17 Pro model is expected to get a 24-megapixel front camera sensor.
If Apple adopts such a camera module, it will help in reducing the thickness of the phone. Installing a pill-shaped camera module instead of a square camera module will allow the internal components to be included in a fixed place. There are also rumors about the iPhone 17 Air that this phone will be very thin. In this sense, this camera module design also proves to be phone-friendly.
