Champions Trophy 2025: The full schedule of the Champions Trophy 2025 to be hosted by Pakistan next year has been released. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced this schedule on Tuesday (24 December), just a day before Christmas.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had already made it clear that the Indian team would not go to Pakistan. In such a situation, this tournament will be played under the hybrid model. The ICC has fixed 4 venues for the tournament. One of these venues is the Dubai International Stadium in UAE, in which the Indian team will play all its matches.
How many matches will the teams play in each group?
All 8 teams will play 3-3 matches in their respective groups. After this, the top 2 teams of each group will qualify for the semi-finals. The first semi-final will be held in Dubai, while the second will be in Lahore. After this,s the final match will be played. In such a situation, if a team reaches the final, it will play a total of 5 matches in the tournament.
There will be 2 groups in the tournament which are as follows
Group A – Pakistan, India, New Zealand, Bangladesh
Group B – South Africa, Australia, Afghanistan, England
10 matches will be played at 3 places in Pakistan
All these 15 matches of the Champions Trophy 2025 will be played at 4 places. Out of these, 3 places will be in Pakistan. While one place will be in Dubai. The Indian team will play all its matches in Dubai. If the Indian team qualifies, then the final will also be held in Dubai. Otherwise, the title match will be played in Lahore on March 9.
A reserve day has also been kept for the final. It has been told that both the semi-finals will be held on March 4 and 5. The first semi-final will be held in Dubai. The second semi-final will be played in Lahore. 10 matches including one semi-final will be played at 3 places in Pakistan. These three places are Lahore, Karachi, and Rawalpindi. ‘
