Celine Dion, the famous Canadian singer, has cancelled her scheduled concert in Europe due to her recent diagnosis of Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS). It is a rare neurological disorder that causes progressive muscle stiffness and spasms.
Dion was scheduled to perform in different places in Europe but has cancelled the show due to her illness.
It’s not the first when songstress cancelled her shows due to health reasons. She was also diagnosed with a Patulous Eustachian tube in 2018 and cancelled the Israel concert.
This time, Celine told about her medical condition through an Instagram post. Here’s what she said.
“Affecting Every Aspect of My Daily Life,” Said Celine Dion
Celine Dion started the video by addressing the camera, she said “As you know, I’ve always been an open book and I wasn’t ready to say anything before, but I am ready now.”

She continued “Unfortunately, the spasms affect every aspect of my daily life. Sometimes causing difficulties when I walk and not allowing me to use my vocal cords to sing the way I’m used to.”
“It hurts me to tell you today, this means, that I won’t be ready to restart my tour in Europe in February.”
This is a disappointing turn of events for fans of Céline Dion, but her health is the most important thing. We hope she recovers soon and is able to return to the stage!
