The well-known designer Wendell Rodricks who owned his own fashion brand dies in Colava Residency, Goa at the age of 59. The designer has crowned many achievements with the launching of his fashion brand in 1989. However, he took retirement from his own fashion brand in 2016.
He was currently working on the Moda Goa Museum.
The designer has worked with many Bollywood celebrities and they all shared their fondest memories working with him.

Union Minister expressed her grief on the shocking news of Wendell’s death and tweeted:

FDCI (The Fashion Design Council Of India) also mourned on the death of one of the finest designer.
FDCI is deeply disheartened with the sudden and untimely demise of one of the country’s iconic designer, Wendell Rodricks.

Rodricks took retirement from his fashion label in 2016 and handed over to Schulen Fernandes, his long time business associate.
Wendell was known to bring the fashion of eco-friendly fashion. The designer was currently concentrating on setting up the Moda Goa Museum which collected the old Goa artifacts and fashion.
He was so dedicated towards the set up of the museum that he along with his wife, Jerome Marrel Shifted to a smaller house in order to convert their original home into Moda Goa Museum.
Wendell was also well known for his strong voice as an activist. He spoke strong opinions on gay rights. He was also honored with Padma Shri in 2014 and Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et Lettres in 2015.
