CCD Founder, VG Siddhartha Dead, Body Recovered From Nethravathi River

After the massive search operation that began since Monday evening and continued for over 30 hours, the body of Cafe Coffee Day founder and owner VG Siddhartha was recovered from Nethravathi river.

The body was found near Mangaluru on Wednesday morning after hours of struggles and search operations done all around the Nethravathi River where he was last seen.

According to Times Of India, the body has been sent for a post-mortem in Wenlock Hospital after which his last rites will be conducted.

According to the Sandip Patil, Police Commissioner of the city:

“The body was found floating near Hoige Bazar at around 6.30am. The next process will go as per law and family members have been informed.”

His last rites will be performed in Chikkamanglur after the post post-mortem is done.

CCD outlets will remain closed on Wednesday following his death.
