BSSC has released recruitment for 143 posts of Laboratory Assistant. 12th pass candidates can apply under this recruitment. Right now only notification has been issued for this recruitment. The application process will start from 15 May 2025.

Till when can you apply

Under this recruitment, applications will be accepted from 15 May 2025. To apply, candidates visit the official website bssc.bihar.gov.in.

Seats are reserved for women

Under this recruitment, seats are reserved for various categories. Out of the vacant posts, 48 ​​posts are reserved for women under horizontal reservation. At the same time, 56 posts are of unreserved category. 22 posts are reserved for SC, 01 ST, 27 OBC, 18 BC, 05 women of backward classes and 14 for economically weaker sections.

12th pass can apply

12th pass candidates from science subject can apply for Assistant Laboratory Recruitment. The age limit of the candidates applying is 18 years to 37 years. At the same time, the maximum age limit has been fixed differently for the candidates coming from different categories of general category.

Application fee is different for all categories

Male candidates of general category / backward class / extremely backward class will have to pay an application fee of Rs 540. At the same time, the application fee for Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe (for permanent resident of Bihar) will be Rs 135. For all categories of Divyang (Scheduled Caste / Tribe) the application fee is Rs 135. At the same time, for women of all categories (only for permanent resident of Bihar) the application fee is Rs 135. The application fee for all categories of candidates (male / female) from outside the state of Bihar is Rs 540.

Selection will be done through written examination

Under this recruitment of BSSC, selection will be done on the basis of written examination. Qualifying marks are also different for all categories. Qualifying marks have been fixed at 40 percent for unreserved category, 36.5 percent for backward class, 34 percent for extremely backward class, 34 percent for Scheduled Caste / Tribe and 32 percent for women of all categories.
