Virat Kohli shocked everyone with his recent social media post. He took an unbelievable decision to resign from the captainship of T20I. The shocking news came after the consultation with Ravi Shastri who is the head coach of the team.

Kohli further informed via post that he would not serve as the captain of the team after the WORLD CUP which will begin next month in UAE. He did not give a reason behind his decision and said that it is only because of workload.
Sharing the news Kohli said he is fortunate to lead the team and expressed gratitude to all who supported him during his tenure as captain. “I could not have done without the support staff, selection committee, and the teammates,” says Kohli.
However, Virat informed that he would continue as a captain for ODI and Test matches. In his entire career, he has served as captain of more than 40 matches of T20 format.
