Delhi: As per the latest news, a mild level earthquake hit Delhi-NCR on Sunday evening. The mild tremors were felt around the national capital region.
The earthquake measured 3.5 on the Richter Scale. So far, there was no report of any damage incurred due to a mild earthquake in Delhi and neighboring areas.
As per the National Center For Seismology, the earthquake occurred at 5:45pm.
CM Arvind Kejriwal took to his official twitter handle and prayed for the safety of the residents. He wrote:
“Tremors felt in Delhi. Hope everyone is safe. I pray for the safety of each one of you.”

One resident reported;
Most people were at home due to the lockdown imposed to curb the Coronavirus pandemic.
Another Lajpat Nagar based resident reported;
“We were watching TV and suddenly felt the tremors. We ran out of the house. Few of our neighbours had also gathered outside. We greeted them from a distance and returned to the house,”

A lot of people took to their official twitter account to share their fear and shock as the earthquake were felt in the midst of Covid-19 pandemic across the world.
