Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released a notification for recruitment to the posts of Assistant Section Officer (ASO). A total of 41 posts will be filled under this BPSC ASO recruitment drive. Interested candidates can apply online on the official website bpsc.bihar.gov.in from 29 May to 23 June 2025.
Educational Qualification for BPSC ASO Recruitment
As an educational qualification for this recruitment, it is mandatory for the candidate to have passed graduation from a recognized university. The degree must be obtained by the last date of application.
Age Limit for BPSC ASO Recruitment –
The age limit (as on 01 August 2025) has been fixed as follows:
- Unreserved Men: Maximum 37 years
- OBC/EBC & Unreserved Women: Maximum 40 years
- SC/ST (All): Maximum 42 years
- Maximum age limit for retirement: 60 years
Candidates who have worked on contract for BPSC ASO Vacancy 2025 will get relaxation in maximum age as per work experience, provided their age does not exceed 60 years.
BPSC ASO Salary and Pay Scale
The selected candidates will be given salary of ₹44,900 to ₹1,42,400 per month under Pay Level-7. Apart from this, allowances will also be available as per rules.

SC/ST, Divyang (40% or more) and all candidates from outside Bihar have to pay Rs 150, General, OBC, other category candidates have to pay Rs 650.
