BMW CE 02: BMW Motorrad is planning to expand its EV range in India by launching the CE 02. This two-wheeler is likely to be launched this festive season and will be positioned below the recently launched CE 04.
At the moment, the CE 02 is manufactured by TVS at their Hosur plant and is exported worldwide. This EV platform has been developed in collaboration with the German brand and the entire manufacturing process is being done by TVS. The idea behind the CE range of EVs is to build a premium brand with clean energy and establish it as an urban product that helps BMW to create a new set of buyers worldwide.
BMW CE 04 launched before CE 02
Before launching the CE 02, BMW has launched the CE 04 in the Indian market. With the launch of the BMW CE 04, it has become the most expensive scooter in the country. Also, it is the most expensive vehicle in the list of electric two-wheelers.
BMW CE 02, What to know?
The BMW CE 02 may prove to be more economical than the CE 04. But this does not mean that this scooter will be available in the market at a lower price. Its price may be higher than the rest of the scooters available in the market. The price of this scooter is higher than all the 310 cc models available in the global market.
When will the BMW CE 02 be launched?
The BMW CE 02 can be launched at the end of this year. It will be interesting to see in what price range the company brings this model to India. But it can be guessed that the price of this new EV can be higher than the TVS X electric scooter. The ex-showroom price of the TVS X electric scooter is Rs 2.49 lakh.
The CE 04 has been launched in the country at a price of Rs 14.09 lakh. The design of this EV is compact. The base variant of this scooter is in light white color. This scooter has also been brought in Imperial Blue Metallic color with optional Avantgarde style. The BMW CE 04 is equipped with a liquid-cooled electric motor. This motor gives a power of 42 hp. This motor is a permanent magnet electric motor. In this EV of BMW, the motor is installed between the rear wheel and the battery.
