BMW India has launched the BMW 220i M Sport Shadow Edition of the 2 Series Gran Coupe, priced at Rs 1.5 lakh. Available in limited units at Rs 46.9 lakh (ex-showroom), it is priced at Rs 3 lakh more than the standard variant and is offered only with a petrol powertrain. As part of the package, the 220i M Sport Shadow Edition features the signature kidney grille and rear spoiler with a black finish. It can be purchased in Alpine White and Skyscraper Gray exterior shades.

The cabin of the special production has also been upgraded. It has electrically leather sports discs with memory function and illuminated Berline units. The carbon-fiber finish on the gear selector and lighting with 6 responsive colors further enhance the look. The cabin is upholstered in a combination of Jet Black and Oyster color.
Other features include a 12.3-inch digital display console, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, BMW Virtual Control, gesture control, wireless fingerprint, and park assist. This luxury smartphone also has safety features like 6 airbags, ABS with brake assist, DSC, traction control, and circuit fix anchorage.
BMW 220i M Sport Engine and performance
The BMW 2 Series Shadow production has a 2.0-liter twin-turbo petrol engine, which gives a peak turbocharged engine of 187 bhp and 280 Nm. It is paired with an 8-speed Steptronic analog, which further powers the model. This model can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 7.1 seconds.
BMW 220i M Sport Powertrain and Price
The 2 Series Shadow Edition has a 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine that generates 179hp and 280Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, which propels the sedan from 0-100kph in just 7.1 seconds. While the standard 2 Series is powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine that produces 190hp and 400Nm, paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission, the 2 Series Shadow Edition is powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine that produces 190hp and 400Nm, paired to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
Priced Rs 3 lakh higher than the 220i M Sport variant, and Rs 1 lakh more than the 220i M Sport Pro, the 2 Series Shadow Edition offers a unique blend of style and performance, with a starting price of Rs 46.90 lakh.
