On Sunday night, Marvel Cinematic Universe film ‘Black Panther’ grabbed two major Grammy awards. Of the nominations related to the album, the Music from the 2018 Fantasy/Science Fiction Film won the awards for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media and Best Rap Performance.
The award for Best Score Soundtrack for the Visual Media was given to Ludwig Göransson’s Black Panther score.
As per the latest Hollywood news, in an interview, Göransson spoke about the hard work that they put on while creating the celebrated music.
The composer disclosed that to assist in creating the score, he and his team traveled to the International Library of African Music in South Africa, where he got the chance to work with a collection of around 500 instruments, even some of the instruments that doesn’t exist anymore!
Best Rape Performance Award was given to Kendrick Lamar for the song ‘King’s Dead’.
The award for the song was shared by Anderson Paak with ‘Bubblin’. ‘King’s Dead’ was also nominated for Best Rap Song, but this award went to Drake’s ‘God’s Plan.’
‘Black Panther ‘ of Marvel, which has also been nominated for some important awards at Oscars, is the first ever superhero film nominated for Best Picture at the Academy Awards.
