Bigg Boss 14 Team Apologizes After Jaan Kumar Sanu Makes Insulting Comment On Mararthi

Indian singer Jaan Sanu who is the son of famous Bollywood singer Kumar Sanu os the Bigg Boss 14. In a recent episode, a comment from Jaan created controversy. Jaan’s comment on the Marathi language was insulting and hurt the sentiments of Uddhav Thackeray and Shiv Sena.

Viacom 18 sent a written apology to Mumbai CM Uddhav Thackeray after the episode aired and Jaan made the derogatory comment.

The network said:

“We have received objections regarding the reference to Marathi language during the episode broadcast on October 27. We have taken corrective measures of removing the said part from all future broadcasts of the episode.”

Jaan in a conversation with Nikki Tamboli said:

“Marathi mein mat baat kar, mere saamne mat baat kar, mujhe ko chid hoti hai. Sunaauga tujhe, mere saamne Marathi mein mat baat kar. Dum hai toh Hindi mein bol warna mat baat kar, chid machti hai mujhe (Don’t talk in Marathi. I get angry when I hear (Marathi). If you want talk in Hindi).”

This became a heated controversy and the MNS leader Amey Khopkar even said that if Jaan does not apologise for his comment they will break the sets of Bigg Boss and halt the shoot.

“We will see how Jaan gets work in Mumbai,” he said.

Shiv Sena MLA Pratap Sarnaik said:

 “The Bigg Boss Salman Khan should also reprimand Jaan,”

Colors TV channel posted an apology on Twitter which read:

“We at COLORS apologize for the remarks in relation to Marathi language made on the Bigg Boss episode aired on Tuesday, 27th October. We had no intentions of hurting sentiments of the people of Maharashtra (sic).”
