Acting debut for visually impaired comedian Bhavya Shah, who rose to fame on Samay Raina’s show India’s Got Latent, is imminent. Shah has been signed by filmmaker and music composer Palaash Muchhal for a future project; production is set to start in December.

By posting a screenshot of a paparazzo’s Instagram post with the caption, “India’s Got Latent fame Bhavya Shah signs Palaash Muchhal film as lead,” on his own Instagram story, Muchhal verified the casting. The motivational Bollywood song Aashayein was played in the background of the post. The movie’s title and plot have not been revealed, among other details.
Blind Since Twelve Years Old
On India’s Got Latent, Bhavya Shah previously revealed that he was not born blind. He joked that he became “pyaar mein andha” (blind in love), but in reality, he lost all of his vision when he was twelve years old. Bhavya persevered and achieved an outstanding 93.4% on his class 10 exams despite the difficulties.

“My computer has screen-reading software that speaks everything on the screen, and I touch type rather than write. In a previous interview, Bhavya told Asian Age, “This helps me with tasks like creating tables, writing chemical equations, researching, accessing textbooks, and pretty much everything I need.”

Later, the comedian finished his post-graduation studies at Stanford University in the United States. Bhavya Shah is a “World Champion in Debate” who has “worked at the World Bank HQ and Meta (Reality Labs)” and developed expertise as a quantitative social science researcher, according to his LinkedIn bio. In the meantime, Kaam Chalu Hai, starring Gia Manek and Rajpal Yadav, was recently directed by Palaash Muchhal.
