The maximum limit of taking vitamin E is 1000 mg per day. And it will be better if you consider this with your doctor, especially during pregnancy. 

If you are applying Vitamin E oil directly on your skin, you should check it first. Because sometimes the oil can make an adverse effect on your skin. So, before applying any vitamin E product to your skin, check it on any hidden part of your body like the back of the knees. If it is perfect for 24 to 48 hours, you are safe to use it. 

People who are using blood thinners are also not recommended to take vitamin E capsules.
