Well, hair oil with aloe vera as one of the ingredients is available in the stores but one that is prepared at home works best. It’s because you can personalize the type of carrier oil as per your hair and skin condition. Moreover, homemade aloe vera oil is free from chemicals and preservatives which are something to expect in almost all beauty products.

So, here’s the recipe:

Ingredients:

• Essential oil of your choice
• Coconut oil- half cup
• Aloe vera gel- half cup

Scrap the gel eliminating the yellow fluid substance from the freshly plucked leaf. Mix the gel with carrier oil in equal proportion. Add only 3-4 drops of essential oil and boil the mixture for few minutes. Cool down the aloe vera oil, strain, and store in an air-tight vessel.

You can also use sesame, castor, almond, olive oil for hair, or mustard oil as carrier oil instead of coconut.
