The IPL 2021 was just a cheer-up effort of the sports industry to entertain and bring positivity during the pandemic. But the covid-19 has caused interference in the game and many players from the teams have got infected.
I guess it became inevitable in the last couple of days…..Look forward to calling the action in happier times. The #IPL is a great event and I hope it returns stronger when the world is what we knew it to be

Announcing the IPL cancellation, BCCI further said we will ensure all the safety arrangements for the players. Many players already left the season midway either due to personal reasons or injury. This includes R Ashwin, Ben Stokes, Adam Zampa, K Richardson, and a few more.
Moreover, there was news of shifting the tournament to UAE but the travel ban by UAE on Indian travelers has made it impossible. As for now, there would be no matches until the country’s covid situations get better or BCCI finds a safe alternative.
