Bajaj Motors launched a new range of its popular Bajaj Chetak electric scooter on December 20. The two-wheeler brand has launched the all-new Chetak 35 series. This scooter is equipped with upgraded features. Along with this, many great features have also been given to it. Also, it has come with a greater range than before. Booking start
Bookings for the new Chetak 35 series have started online and at more than 200 dealerships across the country. Delivery of the 3501 variant will start from the end of December. While the 3502 variant will be handed over to the customers from January 2025.
New Bajaj Chetak 35 Series Upgrade
The biggest change is hidden in the frame. Bajaj has gone back to the drawing board for the update – it has reworked the frame of the new Chetak, making its wheelbase longer by 25mm. This has allowed Bajaj to better reposition all the crucial electric elements, including the battery. They now sit on the floorboard, which better distributes the scooter’s weight and creates more legroom. This has also increased the boot space, which is 35 litres and Bajaj says the boot can hold two helmets.
Bajaj Chetak 35 Series: Storage and Battery
The Chetak 35 series has been brought on a completely new platform. It has a 3.5 kWh underfloor battery pack. It has been placed in such a way that its handling will be better than before. It also has 35 liters of under-seat storage, In which you can keep helmet and other necessary items. A separate compartment has been provided for charging, which makes the storage even better.
Bajaj Chetak 35 Series: Performance
Bajaj Motors claims that the new Chetak 35 series has an actual range of 125 km and a claimed range of 153 km on a full charge of the battery. It gets 80% charged in 3 hours and 25 minutes with the help of a 950-watt charger. Bajaj Motors claims that the top speed of the new Chetak 35 series is 73 kmph. It has both eco and sports mode.
Bajaj says that the new engineering of the electric scooter has reduced the production cost of the vehicle by 45 per cent. The e-scooter will be available with a 3-year/50,000 km warranty as standard.
Bajaj Chetak 35 Series: Features
The new Bajaj Chetak 35 series electric scooter gets a 5-inch TFT touchscreen, which provides a lot of information like a digital instrument cluster. In the new Chetak, you get standard features like navigation, call management, music control, document storage, along with safety features like geo-fencing, anti-theft alert, accident detection and overspeed alert.
Bajaj Chetak 35 Series: Price
The new Bajaj Chetak has been launched in two variants, Chetak 3502 and Chetak 3501. The price of Chetak 3502 is Rs 1.2 lakh and the price of Chetak 3501 is Rs 1.27 lakh. The Bajaj Chetak is the most popular name in the premium electric scooter segment and competes with the Ola S1 Pro as well as other scooters including the TVS iQube, Ather Rizta and Simple One.
