The country’s leading two-wheeler manufacturer Bajaj has launched a new range of its popular electric scooter Chetak. The two-wheeler brand has launched the Bajaj Chetak 35 Series in the market. The new range has been built on a new platform, which has many upgraded features.
Look and design
The new Bajaj Chetak 35 looks similar to the old model. The neo-classic look and metallic body make it special. It gets a round headlamp setup with LED DRL. The rest of the sleek apron, integrated turn indicators and Chetak badge give it a modern look. The rear of the scooter is similar to the earlier model. The extended tail section has tail lamps. The long floorboard and 80 mm single-piece seat also make it comfortable and spacious for riding. The new Chetak also has a larger boot space of 35 liters than before.
Advanced features of Bajaj Chetak 35
1. New console – The Bajaj Chetak 35 series has a new TFT console. It provides information like speed, time, battery level, trip and odometer readouts. It has a feature to adjust touch sensitivity. Smartphone connectivity and related features are also provided. It has a feature of full-fledged navigation by Google Maps. Due to this feature, it becomes even more premium. Due to which the driving experience is even better.
2. Call / SMS alerts and other features – Due to smartphone connectivity in the Bajaj Chetak 35 series, features like call and SMS alerts have also been included. Also, you can accept and reject them. It has a high-speed alert.
3. Geo-fencing – Keeping in mind the safety of the scooter, the Bajaj Chetak has been given a geo-fencing feature. In this, you can set a geo-fencing range, and when the scooter goes out of that range, you will get an alert. This feature will help prevent your scooter from being stolen.
4. Underseat storage – The new Chetak electric scooter has got a big update. It has a large 35-liter underseat storage. Due to its new design, it gets more storage space. Actually, its battery pack has been shifted under the floorboard, so that the underseat storage can be made larger.
5. New battery and increased range – The new Bajaj Chetak has a new and more energy battery pack, which will now give a range of up to 153 km. Earlier the range of Chetak was very low. If you want to get this range, then you have to buy its TecPac variant.
Speed and range are awesome
Let us tell you that the new Bajaj Chetak 35 series scooters have now become longer and more space has been given for the battery. In the new model of Chetak, a 3.5 kWh battery pack powers a 4 kW motor. This allows the scooter to reach a top speed of 73 kmph. The company claims a range of more than 150 km on a single charge. In the real world, this range is around 125 km. The 950 watt on-board charger charges the battery from 0-80% in 3 hours.
Charging Features
- 3501 model: Comes with a 950W on-board charger, which charges the battery from 0-80% in 3 hours.
- 3502 model: This is the basic variant, which does not have an on-board charger and touchscreen display.
- 3503 model: For low cost, it does not have disc brakes and some other features.
