Bajaj Auto, which is trying to make a strong hold in the electric two-wheeler segment in the country, is now going to launch a new and affordable electric scooter soon. The company is preparing to launch this new budget-friendly Chetak variant in the market, which may be named Chetak 3001.
This will be the second generation model of Chetak, which will be placed in the entry-level range. The figures of May 2025 show that tremendous growth has been registered in the electric two-wheeler segment in the country. According to the vehicle data, a total of 1,00,266 units of electric two-wheelers were sold in May, which is an increase of 30% on a year-on-year basis.
Bajaj Chetak 3001 Electric Scooter Launch
Bajaj Auto has launched Bajaj Chetak 3001 in the electric scooter segment. This scooter has been launched as an upgrade of 2903 (Electric Scooter Launch India). The special thing is that this scooter has been built on a new platform, in which many great features are being given.
What will be special in the Bajaj Chetak 3001?
At present, the company has not clarified whether the new Chetak 3001 will replace the existing Chetak 2903 model or will be a separate new option. But it is expected that the Chetak 3001 is being designed specifically keeping in mind those customers who want to buy an electric scooter at a low price.
According to reports, it will be given a 3.1 kW electric motor which will be capable of giving a top speed of about 62 kmph. It is expected to get a 3 kWh battery with it. This combination can give great performance and range according to the entry-level segment.
How powerful is the battery and motor
Bajaj Chetak 3001 has a three-kilowatt floorboard battery. Which can be charged from 0-80 percent in three hours and 50 minutes with a 750 kW charger. After charging once, this scooter can be driven up to 127 km (Chetak EV range). It has an IP 67 rated battery.
