Baba Siddique, a leader of the NCP led by Ajit Pawar and a former minister of Maharashtra, was shot to death in Mumbai on Saturday evening.
The initial information indicates that three to four individuals fired two to three rounds at the NCP leader outside the office of his MLA son Zeeshan Siddiqui near Colgate Ground in Nirmal Nagar, Bandra (East). He was transported to Lilavati Hospital right away, where he passed away shortly after arriving.
Who Was Baba Siddhique ?
- Baba Siddique, initially from Bihar, joined the fabulous old party as a young person. His political vocation started as a young person when he enlisted in the Public Understudies’ Association of India (NSUI).
- He was elected as the Municipal Corporationorator of the Mumbai Municipal Corporation shortly thereafter. In addition to holding the positions of Minister of State for Food and Civil Supplies, Labor, and FDA
- In February of this year, he made a big switch by joining the Nationalist Congress Party led by Ajit Pawar and resigning from the Congress’ primary membership.
- Siddique remarked, “My condition in the Congress was like how curry leaves are used to enhance the taste of food” as he reflected on his departure. I was dealt with like that in the Congress Party.”
- Zeeshan, Siddique’s son, was a Congress MLA who represented Mumbai’s Bandra (East) assembly constituency. However, in August, he was kicked out of the party for allegedly engaging in anti-party activities.
- Siddique, also known as Bandra Boy, was famous for throwing extravagant Iftar parties, to which prominent Bollywood actors like Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan went.
Salman Khan Pays Condolences To Baba Siddique
Salman Khan, a Bollywood actor and close friend of the late NCP leader, paid politician Baba Siddique a visit and expressed his condolences. In pictures and recordings caught external Baba’s home, the entertainer looked deprived as he visited the family on Sunday night after his passing on Saturday.
On Sunday, Salman’s family also paid their respects, including sister Alvira and brothers Sohail and Arbaaz Khan.
