Audi has taken the wraps off the A6 e-tron for the first time. The all-new Audi A6 e-tron will be offered in both Sportback and Avant body styles and will be based on the brand’s PPE architecture.

Talking about the design, the new Audi A6 e-tron features split headlamps, with the main cluster getting DRLs at the top and Matrix LEDs at the bottom. Other styling details include a large grille finished in body colour, angular front bumper, two sharp character lines on the bonnet, sleek door handles, and large 19-inch wheels that can be upgraded to 21 inches. At the rear, the A6 e-tron features the familiar full-width LED lightbar with variable light patterns, a subtle diffuser on the rear bumper, and an illuminated Audi logo.

The Audi A6 e-tron features a modern design. It gets split headlamps similar to the Q6 e-tron, along with sleek LED DRLs up front. Combined with Audi’s Matrix Beam, these offer customisable LED advanced lighting options.

Dimensions of the Audi A6 e-tron

Talking about the dimensions, it measures 4,928 mm in length, 1,923 mm in width and 1,527 mm in height. The A6 e-tron gets a large interior with a 27-litre front trunk and a 502-litre rear boot. Its standard 19-inch wheels can be upgraded to 21-inch wheels.

The Audi A6 e-tron gets an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster with a foldable display and a 14.5-inch central infotainment screen running on an Android-based OS. There is a separate 10.9-inch screen for the front passenger that avoids distraction from the driver. The car also features a head-up display with AI-supported Audi Assistant for augmented reality and voice commands.

The interiors are designed with a combination of fabric, satin silver and gloss black finishes. Other features include a 20-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, ADAS suite, powered tailgate, 360-degree camera and panoramic glass roof.

Engine and Performance

The Audi A6 e-tron is available in three variants globally. It is offered in base RWD with 282 bhp, Performance RWD with 362 bhp and top-spec Quattro AWD variants with 422 bhp. Additionally, the high-performance Audi S6 e-tron models offer up to 543 bhp with Quattro AWD and launch control.

Market launch and pricing

The Audi A6 e-tron is set to enter the European market in early 2025, with a starting price of around €75,000. The high-performance S6 e-tron will be priced around €100,000. The A6 e-tron is expected to hit the Indian market by mid-2025, where it will compete with the BMW i5, among other electric luxury sedans.
