Talking about India, temperatures have broken records for April month and experts are threatened by the heatwaves that will worsen the situation of the country in 2023. 

A heatwave is ongoing in the north and east Indian states and the meteorological department has released an orange alert of a major heatwave in various parts of Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, and West Bengal for this week. 

“The situation of the heatwave is possible to carry on over West Bengal and different parts of Bihar for the coming four days. As per the situation, we have released an orange warning for the area in view of humidity and high temperatures.

People are advised to have precautionary steps. The area will possibly to witness thunderstorm activity from day five, from the time heatwaves situations may subside, the meteorological department of India revealed on Tuesday. 

A temperature of more than 44 degrees Celsius was listed in six cities in north and east India. The capital of India, Delhi listed 40.4 degrees Celsius on Tuesday.

Comfort from the heatwaves is extensive as of the current scenario and it is anticipated to carry on till Friday. 

A few days earlier, in Maharastra, 13 people died and various more were medicated for heatstroke after going to an outdoor event. Schools in the state of West Bengal, Tripura, and Odisha have been closed because of extreme heat after students reported health issues because of the heat. 

Bangladesh Is Also Suffering

The neighbor of Bangladesh, the temperature crossed the 40-degree Celcius mark in the nation’s capital city of Dhaka on April 15. That very day was marked as the hottest day in the last 58 years, which resulted in the road surfaces melting. 

A temperature emergency may be announced if the heat does not go down soon, an executive revealed.

In China, April temperatures have established new records in many locations, like Chengdu, Zhejiang, Nanjing, Hangzhou, and various areas of the Yangtze River delta area. 

Various south-east Asian countries are also struggling with record heat waves. Luang Prabang in Laos listed a temperature of 42.7 degrees Celsius this week, the highest dependable temperature in history, Herrera revealed. 

In Thailand, temperatures attained 44.6 degrees Celsius in the Tak area on Sunday. Temperatures are expected to go 45 degrees Celsius this week.
