Amazon Opens It’s Largest Tech Campus In Hyderabad

Amazon is a renowned name in the market and is evolving itself even more. Amazon whose journey in India started with the city of Hyderabad has opened it’s largest and officially fully owned campus.

The campus is spread across an area of 9.5 acres and comprises of 9.75 million square feet built-up area.

The office space, which is around 1.8 million square feet, can accommodate around 15,000 employees, which is one-fourth of Amazon’s full-time workforce in India. It will, eventually, be expanded to cover 68 acres.

The cafeteria has the capacity to accommodate 2500 people at a point of time.

They also have a gaming zone to recharge your tired cells and get back on your energy.

Each floor is specially designed giving the office an Indian touch.

This massive campus took a period of 3 years to get built.

The facility was inaugurated on 21st August by Mohammed Mahmood Ali, MLC, Minister of Home, Prisons, Fire Services, Government of Telangana, along with Amit Agarwal, SVP and Country Head, Amazon India and John Schoettler, VP, Global Real Estate and Facilities, Amazon.

Hyderabad is a hub of many local giants such as Google, Facebook and Microsoft. Also, Ikea’s first Indian store opened in this city.
