In a recent interview, Ajay Devgn pointed out that there are not many actors in Bollywood today who can be seen as ‘men’ for this reason.
Recently, actor Ajay Devgn discussed how few Bollywood actors are perceived as “men.” In an interview on The Ranveer Show, he mentioned actors like Jackie Shroff, Sunny Deol, and Amitabh Bachchan when discussing how “real men” would behave on screen.
There are no ‘Men’ Actors in Bollywood Nowadays
According to him, an actor’s attitude defines them more than their physical attributes. “You don’t see a dominating male personality in today’s world,” he said. There are no men; they are all boys. Men were prevalent in the previous generation; even in my own, Jackie Shroff and Amitabh Bachchan were all men.
‘Change In Upbringing Today’
He also mentioned Sunny and Akshay Kumar: “We would clap because we thought they could do it when Sunny Deol was pulling out a hand pump or Akshay Kumar was thrashing ten people.” We don’t think anyone in the current generation could truly accomplish that. Ajay clarified that he was referring to an entire generation of actors rather than a specific individual, saying that “there’s been a change in upbringing” that resulted in a change in “attitude and approach towards life.”
