The country’s largest 5G deployment, spanning 3000 Indian towns and cities, was recently announced by Airtel.
The fifth generation network connectivity, known as Airtel 5G Plus, is made available to Airtel customers in all the major urban and rural areas of the nation, from Katra in Jammu to Kannur in Kerala, Patna in Bihar to Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu, Itanagar in Arunachal Pradesh to the Union territory of Daman and Diu.
The first mobile network provider in India to make commercial 5G available to all of its customers is Airtel. This implies that any Airtel customer in a region with a 5G network has access to 5G connectivity. Jio, in contrast, is limiting its 5G access to those who have received an invitation.
Only Airtel and Jio provide 5G services in India at the moment.
